An ambulance helped him to the Arco Iris hospital , where he is undergoing emergency surgery. The Delegation of the Ombudsman in La Paz indicates that he contacted the doctor Brayan Oropeza, who attended him, who indicated that his "situation is critical." The report adds that the wounded man was admitted to the operating room with a diagnosis of a traumatic amputation of the left forearm and abdominal trauma. His sister, Viviana Cota, confirmed that Placido was injured and had been transferred to a medical center. Through tears, she pointed out that "how we have to lose family for fighting for coca, just for being a leader they do this to us."
