On October 26, 2025, Chicago rapper THF Bay Zoo, whose real name was Devonshe Collier, age 35, was reportedly shot in a parking lot in the Little Village neighborhood at 3100 South St. Louis Avenue.

He was accompanied by two men, aged 39 and 42, when a vehicle approached and an unknown individual opened fire. Bay Zoo was struck multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by Chicago law enforcement authorities.
