A serious road accident took place on Friday on the DN2 highway in Iași County, Romania, when a truck overturned onto a car. Four people were involved in the crash, and two of them, who were inside the car, lost their lives at the scene.

Firefighters arrived quickly with two intervention vehicles and a SMURD ambulance, supported by a medical team from the County Ambulance Service. Additional crews from Suceava County also assisted in the rescue efforts.

Authorities reported that the accident occurred between the villages of Cristești and Drăgușeni. The truck driver was conscious and cooperative and received medical attention but refused to be taken to the hospital.

Emergency services confirmed that the two people trapped in the car were extracted, but despite resuscitation attempts, they were declared dead by the medical teams.
