An approximately 80-year-old man died after falling from a truck in which he was traveling as a passenger.

The incident occurred on the route from San Antonio Arriba toward Santiago Nonualco, near the San Agustín neighborhood. According to witnesses, the man tried to hold on to a strap, but it came loose and he fell onto the pavement.

Other passengers immediately came to his aid and transported him to a hospital in San Salvador, where he later died from the severity of his injuries.
