A man in his forties was stabbed to death in the street in Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val-de-Marne) during the night between Sunday and Monday. He was attacked by two individuals, each wielding a knife.

Neighbors alerted police around 12:30 a.m. reporting a fight involving three people and that one was lying unconscious. On arrival, officers found the victim with severe stab wounds to the throat and in cardiac arrest. Despite attempts at medical intervention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness recorded part of the assault on video, which is being used by investigators. Authorities have arrested a suspect, who was reportedly a former cellmate of the victim, and he is now held in custody. An investigation for murder has been opened.
