A serious traffic accident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, on Rua dos Aveloses in the Malvinas neighborhood of Campina Grande. A motorcyclist carrying two passengers was traveling in the correct lane when a speeding vehicle, reportedly a Parati, suddenly entered the opposite direction, struck the motorcycle, and dragged it several meters.

The motorcyclist fell into the road and was then struck by a second vehicle. Emergency services transported him in critical condition to the Campina Grande Trauma and Emergency Hospital. His passenger sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

Security camera footage captured the entire incident and showed the reckless behavior of the Parati driver, who fled the scene immediately without offering assistance. The vehicle’s license plate was found at the site and is expected to help authorities identify the driver.

The Civil Police are actively investigating the case and intend to use the video footage and the recovered license plate to locate the suspect. Charges under consideration include attempted homicide and failure to provide assistance.
