A security video captured a hitman entering a pool hall in the Lima district of San Juan de Lurigancho while looking at a photo of Giormán Zamora on his phone, allowing him to recognize the victim by his clothing and locate him precisely.

The shooting occurred on the night of Monday, July 7, at a venue on San Martín Avenue in the Campoy area, leaving 27-year-old Venezuelan citizen Giormán Zamora Guerrero dead.

Footage now in the hands of the National Police (PNP) shows two groups inside the establishment: one playing cards, while Zamora was in the pool area, leaning on a table and checking his cell phone. He wore dark clothing with a hood and occasionally spoke with another man dressed in black.

The situation suddenly changed when a man entered carrying a delivery bag and holding a phone, scrolling through a photo that likely identified his target’s location. After walking a few meters, he spotted Zamora, drew a firearm, and fired at least twelve shots. He then fled the scene.

Zamora fell lifeless to the ground amid shocked witnesses who attempted to assist but failed. Several men pursued the attacker but were unable to catch him.

Forensic and police teams arrived shortly after, gathering evidence and reviewing surveillance footage. Authorities believe the images—showing the killer’s clothing, delivery bag, and phone—will be vital in identifying the suspect.

The motive remains under investigation, with authorities considering the possibility of a settling of scores.

On social media, some users recognized Zamora from his appearances on comedian Jorge Luna’s show and his humorous digital content, but officials have yet to confirm if it is the same individual.
