A disturbing video circulating on social media captures the moment a woman fatally struck her partner in the head with a rock, sparking widespread reactions online. Some viewers speculate that the attacker may have had a compelling reason for her actions.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, the incident occurred on June 29, 2025, in the Bachué neighborhood of El Rosal, Cundinamarca. The couple reportedly engaged in a heated argument that quickly escalated into violence. The footage shows the man lying on the sidewalk when the woman picked up a large rock and struck him forcefully on the head, causing almost immediate death.

The Prosecutor’s Office investigation revealed that the 31-year-old woman acted during a vulnerable moment when her partner, a 55-year-old man, was defenseless. The Technical Corps of Criminal and Judicial Investigation (CTI) confirmed the cause of death as severe head trauma.

Following the attack, the woman attempted to flee but was apprehended by National Police officers just meters from the scene. She was charged with aggravated homicide and placed in pretrial detention. Despite the evidence, she has denied responsibility.

During court proceedings, a judge ordered her continued detention. The Prosecutor’s Office has pledged to pursue the case rigorously to ensure justice for the victim’s family, who have been deeply affected by the tragedy.
