On Thursday morning (3), a tragic accident occurred in the Ipês neighborhood of João Pessoa when a man was electrocuted while trying to climb over the wall of a store.

According to the Military Police, the unidentified man was on a vacant lot adjacent to the store and attempted to jump over the wall to gain access to the premises. Unfortunately, exposed electrical wires on the wall—wet from recent rain—caused him to receive a fatal electric shock.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at the location.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
