A 71-year-old man named Murali from Neerikkode (Varapuzha) tragically died after stepping in front of the Chennai–Alappuzha train at Aluva Railway Station.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Following a postmortem examination, his body was released to his family. The incident took place last month at the Karuvatta railway crossing in Alappuzha city, Kerala.
