CLEVELAND — A man was found dead near a church on Cleveland’s West side Tuesday night.
The medical examiner says the victim was found dead in the parking lot at West 65th Street and Lawn Avenue on June 17.
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim has been identified as Leonzo Washington, a 34-year-old man from Cleveland. Officials say his death is being investigated as a suspected homicide by the Cleveland Division of Police.
The medical examiner says Washington was found dead in the parking lot at West 65th Street and Lawn Avenue. That location is directly across the street from Saint Coleman Catholic Church.
When News crew arrived at the scene, a car in the lot was visibly riddled with bullet holes and surrounded by police.
