The night of Wednesday, June 4th, ended in tragedy in the 20 de Julio neighborhood of Baranoa. A hitman killed 23-year-old Yonis José Nieto Andrade and wounded a worker at the "Cerdo Sabrozón" restaurant. Atlántico: Hitman fires inside a food business in Baranoa.
Security cameras recorded the exact moment. The attacker arrived at the chicharrones restaurant on foot. He approached the counter, asked for an order, and seconds later, pulled out a firearm.
He shot the employee serving him twice. He then turned and attacked Yonis, who was waiting for his food. After the attack, he fled through the food hall.
Yonis Nieto, a local merchant, used to visit the establishment. At the time of the attack, he was talking with the young worker.
Both fell to the ground after being shot. Witnesses helped them and took them to the Reina Catalina Clinic. Hours later, doctors confirmed Yonis's death.
The injured employee remains in stable condition, although he has not yet been identified by authorities.
