In the Leningrad Region, schoolgirls were crushed by concrete slabs in an abandoned building. This was reported by the press service of the regional Investigative Committee .
The incident occurred in the village of Terpilitsy in the Volosovsky district of the region. The girls were pulled out from under the rubble of a former agricultural enterprise with no signs of life. According to security forces, the collapse occurred at about five o'clock in the evening. The schoolgirls were there during a walk.
As officials clarifies, the deceased were 11 and 12 years old. Their relatives reported them missing. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident under the article on causing death by negligence.
