A man died unexpectedly this Tuesday (13), in front of a snack bar located on Avenida 25 de Agosto, near Praça do Humaitá, in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense.
According to witness reports, the victim crossed the street complaining of chest pains. When he sat down on a bench, the man had difficulty breathing and fell.
Bystanders who witnessed the scene quickly tried to help the victim. When he was turned over, the man took one last breath and died at the scene before medical help arrived.
The area was isolated for the work of the Civil Police forensic experts, who will investigate the cause of death. The body will be sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for further examination.
The victim's identity has not yet been officially released by authorities.
