The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Amanda Ferreira de Araújo. The tragic incident occurred in the Felicianos neighborhood of Belo Jardim, located in the Agreste region of Pernambuco.
Late in the afternoon on Monday (April 7), a concrete awning collapsed, striking and killing Amanda while she was seated on a chair outside her home. The incident took place around 5:40 pm.
According to the Fire Department, Amanda suffered a severe leg fracture and a deep head wound. She was rushed to an Emergency Care Unit (UPA) but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
