A driver driving a Lexus hit a pedestrian at high speed on the Shchyolkovskoye Highway bypass, TASS reports , citing the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow.
According to preliminary information, the driver, driving towards Uralskaya Street, ran over a pedestrian. The victim was hospitalized in critical condition.
At the same time, the owner of the Lexus was driving in the lane intended for public transport at a speed exceeding the permitted 100 kilometers per hour, law enforcement officials clarified. At that time, the pedestrian was crossing the road in the wrong place.
At the moment, traffic police officers are investigating the details of the accident.
