A road accident on Holi in Chattisgarh's Bhilai claimed the life of 23-year-old Richa Kaushik, daughter of BJP Mahila Morcha local chief Sweety Kaushik. The incident left three others seriously injured.
The 23-year-old daughter of a prominent BJP women’s wing leader died in a road accident in Chhattisgarh’s Durg district on Friday, police officials said.
The accident occurred on the Durg-Rajnandgaon bypass road on Friday afternoon amid Holi festivities. According to reports, Richa, daughter of BJP’s Bhilai Mahila Morcha chief Sweety Kaushik, was travelling with friends in a red Skoda car when the vehicle crashed.
Reports indicate that Richa and her friends were heading to a dhaba for a meal when the accident occurred.
Richa suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Ramkrishna Care Hospital in Raipur, where she died during treatment.
Three young men who were in the car with her sustained serious injuries and were taken to a hospital for medical attention.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
