Eight people were injured Saturday when a driver crashed into a CarMax location in Inglewood, Los Angeles. According to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson Jonathan Torres, two individuals were critically injured, while the other six sustained minor injuries.
Video footage shared on social media showed a damaged SUV reversing into the building, followed by an employee rushing out. The vehicle then pivoted in the lobby area and exited through the opposite end of the building.
CarMax confirmed that the driver was a customer whose vehicle had been appraised, and he was later arrested. “We appreciate the authorities’ swift response to this terrible event,” the company said in a statement.
