Diego Giovanny Garzón Vera, a sergeant of the National Army, became this Sunday (February 16) the seventh homicide victim this year in La Dorada (Caldas).
The 38-year-old man, belonging to the Serviez Battalion, in Villavicencio, was visiting his hometown and had a medical disability.
A security camera captured the moment when Garzón Vera was leaving a stall located on the corner of 22nd Street with Carrera 6, in the Obrero neighborhood, when two guys on a motorcycle approached him and shot him.
Badly injured he ran, but about five meters ahead he collapsed on the platform, while his executioners fled. The witnesses remained motionless, while other curious people approached, without trying to help the victim.
The department, apart from this violent death, recorded four other murders over the weekend. Two cases were recorded in Neira, where two brothers were killed, and the other two were in Viterbo and Victoria.
