A woman identified as Paula Tapia died on Saturday afternoon after accidentally falling from the steps of her home in the La Fe neighborhood of the National District.
The accident happened while it was raining, which would have caused Paula to slip.
Her husband, known as “El Flaco,” said that he called the National Emergency and Security System 9-1-1 and that they transferred her to the Salvador Bienvenido Gautier Hospital.
According to her partner, Paula asked to be discharged from the hospital, but her health worsened and she died shortly after.
Paula’s death has left neighbors and family members very sad, as they remembered her as a kind and beloved person.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
