Manaus (AM) – A robber was shot by a police officer while trying to rob a young woman in the Monte das Oliveiras neighborhood, in the North Zone of Manaus. The incident, recorded by security cameras, shows the moment the criminal is surprised by the officer.
According to the images, the robber, who was riding a red Honda motorcycle, approached the young woman in the middle of the street and aggressively took her belongings. As he prepared to flee, a police officer who was watching the movement from inside his house reacted and fired shots at the bandit, hitting him.
The police officer went to the scene and ordered the robber to surrender. “Put your hands on your head, dammit! This is the police. Don’t worry, lady, this is the police,” said the officer, while providing assistance to the victim and assuring her that the criminal no longer posed a risk.
Authorities continue to investigate the case to clarify all the details of the incident.
