A video shows the moment a police officer was shopping at an Oxxo convenience store when, suddenly, some thieves arrived.
The attempted robbery occurred on Saturday night in the Valle de Luces neighborhood, second section, where two assailants began kicking the glass door of an Oxxo store.
It was at the corner of 5 de Mayo and Halo, around 00:14 hours when an assailant, identified as D. M. Pasten, 34 years old, entered the store to rob it.
However, as seen in the video, a police officer was shopping in the store and, upon seeing one of the assailants, decided to shoot him several times.
The other subject, who was riding a green motorcycle, apparently managed to escape while Daniel Martínez remained lying on the ground.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the man’s body outside the store, so they requested the intervention of medical services, who confirmed the death of the victim.
So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the crime, and the relevant authorities will be responsible for clarifying the facts.
