A 27-year-old man was the victim of a knife attack on the metro in Lyon on Sunday, January 26, BFM Lyon learned from concordant sources. When he was taken to hospital, he had a 7 to 8 centimeter wound on the back of his neck. He was taken to Édouard Heriot hospital, but his life was not in danger.
An investigation has been opened for “attempted voluntary homicide”, BFM Lyon learned from the Lyon prosecutor’s office. “The investigations entrusted to the DIPN of the Rhône are continuing to identify the perpetrator and determine the reasons for this act.”
The incident took place at the Guillotière station on metro line D. After the attack, the victim got on the train and got off at the next station at Bellecour. A TCL agent then came to his aid and called emergency services and the police.
