On the morning of Wednesday (22), a man known by the nickname "Fofão", due to obesity, was found dead inside his residence, in the Retiro neighborhood, in Rio de Janeiro. The property, which was in a state of extreme dirt and accumulated a large amount of objects, had typical characteristics of an accumulator house.
According to neighbors, the man, who lived alone, was a recluse and rarely received visitors. The body was discovered after residents of the region felt a strong odor coming from the residence and called the authorities.
Teams from the Civil Police and the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) were on site to perform the expertise and remove the body. The cause of death will still be investigated, but there is no evidence of crime.
The situation of the house caught the attention of the rescue teams, who reported difficulties in accessing the place due to the amount of accumulated deble. Cleaning and social assistance services were activated to deal with the property.
The case is still under investigation by the competent authorities.
