It was almost 5:00 p.m. in the sector of Block 21 of Flor de Bastión northwest of Guayaquil , when police officers who were moving on motorcycles noticed that a car was going to kidnap a person and began the chase that ended in a confrontation with firearms.
In the video recorded by a police officer, three police officers can be seen chasing the car that was trying to escape and also repelling the attack with gunfire.
The police, using progressive force, fired shots, causing the car to crash into a house and overturn. At that moment, the criminals escaped from the vehicle injured and were arrested by the authorities.
Unfortunately, one police officer died during this confrontation. The three criminals were injured.
