A former criminal policeman identified as Alex Freitas shot his ex-wife's boyfriend and then took his own life.
The case occurred around 2:50 a.m., in the Nova Transunião community, located in the Assurini region, a rural area of the municipality of Senador José Porfírio, in southwestern Pará.
According to the Police, Alex invaded the land of the house where his ex lived with her current boyfriend and shot the victim in the back, whose identity was not disclosed. Then Alex pointed the gun at himself.
The first shot made him fall to the ground, but he was still conscious and fired a second shot, also against his skull, which was fatal.
The victim hit by Alex was rescued after his partner called the authorities and sent to the Municipal Hospital of Senator José Porfírio.

The Civil Police reported that the case was registered at the local police station and that expertise was requested to contribute to the investigations.
