Four workers died and one was injured after suffering an electric shock, on the morning of Tuesday (31), during the organization of a New Year's Eve event in a concert hall, located in the east of Porto Velho.
According to the Military Police, the accident happened when the victims moved away a scaffolding without protective equipment. At this moment, the structure touched the wire and they were electrocuted. Through videos released on social networks, it is possible to see the victims fallen to the ground in flames.
According to the Fire Department, an Energisa team went to the site to turn off the power and check the electrical voltage on the scaffolding. Soon after, the medical team found the death.
The victims' bodies were sent to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML). The other worker was taken to the hospital.
