A tragic traffic accident occurred on Monday morning on the Troncal del Caribe, near the entrance to Gaira, Santa Marta, resulting in the tragic death of a young motorcyclist.
The accident occurred at 5:30 in the morning, when Miguel Ángel Araujo Julio, the fatal victim, was riding his Bajaj Boxer motorcycle. For reasons that are still being investigated by the authorities, the young man lost control of his vehicle and violently collided with the rear of a public transport bus that was traveling on the road.
The impact was so great that Miguel Ángel’s body was trapped between his motorcycle and the bus, complicating the rescue efforts
Despite the rapid arrival of emergency services, paramedics were unable to save his life due to the severity of the injuries sustained during the crash.
The highway authorities are already investigating the possible causes of the accident.
