Manaus - A surveillance camera captured the moment when an unidentified man was beaten and stabbed on Friday morning (29), on Yanomami Street, in the Novo Israel neighborhood, in the northern part of Manaus.
The crime took place around 6:31 am. The images show the moment when the victim is chased by two men, one with a piece of wood, and the other with a knife in his hand.
The images also show the victim being beaten and stabbed by the two suspects.
During the crime, a motorcyclist arrives at the scene, sees the suspects walking away but then returns, and one of them talks to the driver. During the conversation, the man stands on the motorcycle with a cell phone in his hand.
After the conversation, the pair leaves the scene. The man was rescued and taken to a hospital in the capital but did not survive his injuries and died at the hospital.
The case will be investigated by the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Unit (DEHS). The Legal Medical Institute (IML) was called to remove the victim's body.
