A 21-year-old man was injured after being thrown from the motorcycle he was riding in an accident with a car in the city of Juazeiro , in northern Bahia.
According to the Military Police, the victim, identified as Natanael Carvalho do Nascimento, was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), with bruises and injuries on his body. He was taken to the Trauma Hospital in Juazeiro.
The driver of the car was taken to the city police station to provide a statement. His name was not released. The police did not say whether the driver remains in custody.
