A small plane crashed this Sunday (09/08) near a bus stop, near the Lourival Parente viaduct, on BR-316, South Zone of Teresina. Initial information indicates that the pilot was trapped in the wreckage, but his health condition is still unknown.
The pilot of the plane was identified as doctor Jacinto Lay. He was trapped in the wreckage after the crash, but was rescued minutes later by locals. Wearing a shirt and shorts, he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Before crashing, the aircraft collided with a passenger transport van, only stopping when it hit the structure of an urban transport integration stop.
Inside the van were a couple and two children. According to information obtained by police, everyone is fine and was taken to the Promorar Hospital to have the glass shards removed.
