MANAUS-AM | A video showing a hit-and-run began circulating on social media on Wednesday night (28). According to reports, the incident occurred on Oscar Boreal Street, in the Compensa neighborhood, West Zone of Manaus.
Images captured by security cameras at a commercial establishment show two women, one of them carrying a baby in her arms, moments before they were run over by a delivery man on a motorcycle traveling at high speed.
The violent collision occurred as the driver of the vehicle was turning a corner on the avenue, but ended up invading the sidewalk, hitting and throwing the woman and child against the wall of the store.
People nearby rushed to help the victims, while the motorcycle driver got up and walked away from the scene. Another security camera captured the moment when other people, who were almost hit, managed to avoid the vehicle for a fraction of a second.
So far, there is no official information about the health status of the victims.
