A military police officer was removed from his post after being filmed attacking a woman with slaps, kicks and hair pulling in Itambaracá (PR) – a city located about 420 kilometers from Curitiba (PR), on the border with the state of São Paulo – during the early hours of Saturday, 24, in a “Disturbing the Peace” call.
In the recording, it is possible to see the officer arguing with a group of people over loud music in a bar. “Shut this shit down right now. You’re going to be causing trouble at three in the morning, man. Do you think we have nothing else to do?”, exclaimed the police officer in the images.
Later, the person capturing the images claims that the place has already been closed and asks the man to remain calm. “Is someone talking to you?” asks the police officer before slapping and kicking a woman, as well as pulling her by the legs and hair.
In contact with the IstoÉ website , the Military Police of Paraná confirmed that they had opened an investigation to evaluate the conduct of the agent and investigate what happened. The corporation confirmed that members of the security forces were called to respond to an incident involving loud noise.
