A 37-year-old man died after being run over and shot in the early hours of this Monday (26) in Valença (RJ) . The incident took place on Rua Vinte e Nove de Setembro, in the Carambita neighborhood.
The crime was recorded by a security camera. The images show the victim, on a bicycle, being deliberately hit by a car. The driver then gets out of the vehicle and fires at least 20 shots at the target.
In the video, the man, despite being shot, tries to flee on foot, walking unsteadily. The shooter returns to the car, runs him over again and flees. The crime scene was examined to gather information that could help the Civil Police in their investigation. The body was then taken to the Forensic Medical Institute of Volta Redonda (RJ).
The case was registered at the Valença police station and is being investigated. According to the Military Police, the victim had 10 criminal records, most of them for involvement in drug trafficking.
The Civil Police said that they are carrying out investigations to determine the authorship and motivation of the crime.
