CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was fatally shot outside a Citgo gas station on the city’s West Side.
The shooting happened around 8:54 a.m. Tuesday on the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue.
According to police, the man was near the gas station when a silver sedan, possibly an Infiniti, approached him. Three men exited the vehicle and opened fire, striking the victim multiple times.
The man was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
After the shooting the offenders got back into the sedan and fled northbound.
No one is in custody at this time. Area Four detectives are investigating.
