The head-on collision occurred in the Santa Isabel neighborhood. According to the Fire Department, another motorcyclist was rescued in serious condition and taken to Santa Casa.
A man died and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision involving two motorcycles on Wednesday night (24) in Barra Mansa (RJ) . The accident happened on Rua São João, in the Santa Isabel neighborhood.
A security camera recorded the moment when the two motorcycles were coming in opposite directions and collided head-on.
With the impact of the crash, the motorcyclists were thrown over the motorcycles ( watch above ).
According to the Fire Department, one of the victims did not survive his injuries and died at the scene. The other driver, approximately 25 years old, was treated in serious condition and taken to Santa Casa.
Contacted by g1 , the medical unit reported that the patient remained hospitalized in serious condition on the morning of this Thursday (25).
The accident scene was examined to gather information that could help the Civil Police understand the circumstances of the crash. The body was then taken to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) in Volta Redonda (RJ).
The accident was registered at the Barra Mansa police station.
