Captain Ho A Dua, Deputy Chief of Police of Ang Nua Commune, Muong Ang District, Dien Bien Province said: The accident happened at around noon today (July 15) at a fish pond in Bo May Village, Ang Nua Commune.
At that time, Mr. Vu Dai Duong, born in 1984, residing in Muong Ang Town, was fishing on the bank of a pond. While fishing, the hook got caught on a high-voltage wire above, the victim was struck by a strong electric current, leading to his death on the spot.
Immediately after the accident, the authorities of Ang Nua commune and Muong Ang district protected the scene, organized an investigation, and clarified the cause of the incident.
