GUA MUSANG - A woman almost died after the motorcycle she was riding was hit by a load of logs carried by a lorry while taking a turn at a traffic light near Persimpangan Bendahara, Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai here, today.
In the incident at about 11.23am, the victim, Siti Norelyana Kamaruzan, 21, who works as a salesperson at a shopping center here, was sent to Gua Musang Hospital for further treatment.
The victim is said to be on her way to her workplace in Bandar Utama Gua Musang here.
According to the victim's fiance, Nik Amnan Arif Nik Anuwar, 22, he received a call about the accident from a friend who happened to be at the scene.
He said, he rushed to the hospital to see the condition of the victim after receiving information about the accident.
"I had a chance to see the condition of the woman who was receiving treatment at the Gua Musang Hospital Emergency Unit and the doctor informed me that his condition was still unstable.
"I am still shocked by what happened. I hope for prayers from the public so that the woman is safe," he said when met by reporters at the Gua Musang Hospital here today.
