Woman died in a traffic accident while she was heading home in Huaquillas
Huaquillas.- Brigitte Martínez lost her life on the afternoon of this Saturday, May 4, as a result of a traffic accident that occurred in the El Carmen citadel of the border canton of Huaquillas.
According to preliminary data, two women were riding a black motorcycle and were hit by a truck, whose driver accelerated to leave the scene.
This occurred at the intersection of Guayas and Camilo Ponce Enríquez streets, where the motorcycle was completely destroyed, while its occupants were left on the road.
Ambulances from the MSP and the Fire Department attended the scene, whose paramedics assisted the victim. Unfortunately, Martínez took the brunt of it, being transferred to a nursing home, but there only her death was confirmed.
It was indicated that the victims of this event had participated in a medical brigade organized by the Municipality of Huaquillas and when they retired to their homes this tragedy occurred.
