Homicide detectives are at Jarvis Street in Vistabella, where a woman was shot dead in her car earlier this morning.
She has been identified as 35-year-old mother of two, Crystal Harricharan, of Boodoo Trace Extension, Union Village, Claxton Bay.
Initial reports are that around 7:10 am, Crystal Harricharan was leaving in her car to pick up school children when a white Nissan B 15 pulled up. A gunman exited the vehicle and fired several shots at her.
Crystal Harricharan died at the scene.
Police said she had received several death threats over the past few months. In addition, her home had been firebombed and shot at.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigation (Region 3), and Southern Division Police are investigating.
