The corpse found floating in the Rio dos Sinos was identified as Davidy Wéliton Basto, aged 27. Born in Taquara, he had several criminal records. During the rescue of the body near Rio dos Sinos, in Sapiranga, the police and firefighters saw a wound on his head.
The main suspicion is that he was killed and dumped by the executioners in a higher part of the river, or even in a neighboring municipality, such as Araricá and Nova Hartz.
Photos of Davidy circulate on social media and in messaging groups. The bandit appears with revolvers and even a rifle with high lethality. Before being executed, Davidy was arrested by the police six times for aggravated robbery, robbery/burglary, vehicle theft and receiving stolen items.
During the morning of this Friday (19), the Fire Department and the Military Brigade were called by residents along the riverside of Rio dos Sinos, in Sapiranga. Next to the water course, there was the corpse, which was later identified as Davidy's.
