An attempted robbery was recorded at around 2:30 pm this Friday in Juazeiro do Norte. A woman who owns the EB clothing store on Rua Santa Luzia (Bairro São Miguel) was stabbed in the neck and arm. She found herself faced with two men who pretended to be customers before announcing the robbery after entering the establishment.
As soon as they announced that it was a robbery, they started looking through things in search of money and valuables. It is not known whether the merchant would have shown any reaction, but she ended up subdued by the two thieves who stabbed her with a knife even though she was already lying on the ground. Losing a lot of blood, she was rushed to the Cariri Regional Hospital (HRC) by a neighbor in an apparently serious condition.
The police were called and several vehicles were at the scene and were searching for the pair based on images from security cameras in the police's possession. So far, no one has been arrested and the Miséria website's report was unable to identify the victim. The police have not yet been able to say what they took from the establishment.
