Two men ended the life of Ruth Sarahi Zepeda Mejía, 29, known as “Pizuca”, a fact that has shocked the community of Santa Rosa de Copán The woman was riddled with bullets by individuals who intercepted her on a street in the Dolores neighborhood last night. Security cameras located in the sector captured the event. According to the first investigations, the victim, originally from Santa Rosa de Copán, was dedicated to selling cocaine in the area.
When inspecting the body, multiple bags of cocaine and cash were found, presumably the product of drug sales.
The response from the authorities was immediate, because a few hours after the homicide, they carried out an operation that culminated in the capture of two suspects in the El Triángulo neighborhood, Las Banderas sector.
The detainees were identified as a 36-year-old man, originally from Villanueva, Cortés, and resident of Cofradía Cortés, as well as another 37-year-old individual, a native of Santa Rosa de Copán and resident in the El Progreso neighborhood, La Entrada Copán, merchant trade.
During the arrest, two firearms were found in their possession, presumably used in the crime, as well as two cell phones and the vehicle in which they were traveling, a blue Chevrolet, which was recorded on security cameras.
According to witness testimonies, the victim was walking down the street when she was approached by an individual who got out of a vehicle and shot her in various parts of her body.
