A woman in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh was accidentally shot in the face inside a police station by a Sub-Inspector (SI) while he was cleaning his pistol. The woman was hospitalised and the SI has been suspended with immediate effect.
A woman who went to a police station in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh for passport verification was on Friday mistakenly shot in her head with a pistol belonging to a Sub-Inspector (SI). The entire incident was caught on CCTV footage.
The incident took place at 2:50 pm, said Aligarh Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kalanidhi Naithani.
