A tragic accident occurred late yesterday afternoon (28), in the interior of Gentil-RS, resulting in the death of farmer Zilmar Salvático, aged 54. The incident happened while he was butchering a pig on his property in São Valentim. Accompanied by his father, Zilmar was hanging the animal when he accidentally dropped the knife, which hit his groin, injuring the femoral vein. Unfortunately, he lost blood quickly and there was not enough time for help.
Zilmar leaves behind his wife, a daughter and a son. The wake is being held in the Gentil mortuary chapel, and the burial is scheduled for 5pm this Wednesday (28).
