The self-employed Sandro dos Santos, 46 years old, died after being filmed ingesting a bottle full of cachaça during a 'joke' with colleagues, in the municipality of São Miguel do Aleixo (SE) .
According to his mother, Marielza dos Santos, her son was an alcoholic and last Thursday he was encouraged to drink about 500ml of cachaça at once and he couldn't resist.
Sandro's death was similar to that of a 42-year-old rural worker, who was found dead after being filmed drinking a bottle of cachaça in southeastern Goiás.
