A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by his friend over a money dispute in the Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi on Wednesday morning. Police officials received a PCR call in Tigri police station regarding the stabbing incident after which they rushed to the spot and apprehended the accused from the crime scene. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Chowdhary informed that the victim, identified as Yusuf Ali, a resident of Sangam Vihar, was attacked by Shahrukh, who also lived in the same locality, around 10 am.

"Yusuf was rushed to Batra Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the doctors. Shahrukh was apprehended by the police from the spot. He was also injured as he was beaten up by the public who witnessed the incident. He is undergoing treatment at the hospital," he said.

Chowdhary said that a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including section 302 (murder) and section 34 (common intention) has been registered against Shahrukh based on the statement of Yusuf's father.

Police have seized the weapon used in the crime and are further investigating the matter.
