A 45-year-old man was arrested this Thursday (12), at the Marivan Subdivision, Santa Maria neighborhood, in the south zone of Aracaju. He is suspected of being co-author of a murder that took place in February 2022. Pre-trial detention was carried out by the Department of Homicide and Person Protection (DHPP).

According to police information, the suspect is known as Léo and was recognized through images from the video surveillance cameras, which caught the man shooting the victim inside a bakery on Avenida Alexandre Alcino.

Leo would have arrived at the scene on a red motorcycle driven by his own son, appointed as an accomplice to the crime, when he got off the motorcycle, entered the bakery and shot the victim in the back - a 29-year-old man - who died at the scene.

After the police investigation, witnesses recognized the suspects in the images obtained. Leo's son is on the run.
