A man suspected of three homicides, one of which was an execution by gunfire in the early hours of January 1st, hours after New Year's Eve, was arrested this Monday, 9th, by military police in the municipality of Rio Largo, in the metropolitan region from Maceio. The information about the arrest was released by Chief Igor Diego, from the Special Investigation and Capture Division (Deic), this Tuesday morning, 10.

The suspect, who did not have his name revealed, had a firearm, ammunition, drugs and a motorcycle with a complaint of theft when the PMs approached. He was wanted for the murders that, according to the investigation, are related to the dispute over drug trafficking in the city.

Camera footage shows the timing of two of the three homicides. In the last crime, after New Year's Eve, the footage shows the victim on the sidewalk of Rua Santa Luzia, in Mata do Rolo, dressed in white, and being surprised by the shooter.

"Even though the victim was already lying on the ground, the author continued shooting. Later, he reloaded the ammunition in his gun and again discharged it on the victim who died at the scene", said the delegate, also highlighting the kicks and punches given against the victim has no reaction.
