Carabineros confirmed the death of the man who was run over and then kicked to the ground by unknown persons on Los Naranjos and Pérez Zujovic streets in Antofagasta.

The event occurred on January 8 at 3:33 p.m. and was recorded in a video where a man in a white cap is first seen crossing the waterfront in the clear direction to intercept a young man who was already being chased by a third individual. From there, the scene continues with the victim on the floor being beaten by his attackers; however, this would change in the following seconds.

When the guy in the white shirt is still on the ground and the beating against him seems to have stopped, a blue vehicle appears that runs over one of the attackers, lifting him up into the air, then falling motionless to the side of the street. Subsequently, the co-driver of the same car descends to hit the seriously injured subject on the ground.

The Prosecutor instructed the IAPA of Carabineros to investigate the case. For now there are no detainees as a result of the fact.
